With serial connect, we want to create a safe and secure space in the digital world. We want to give everyone the opportunity to present themselves and their identity to the extent they feel comfortable with. If you want to make your gender public, you can do so using the Gender option in the Personal section. The Gender option in the Sensitive section will not be displayed publicly. In this way, we want to give you the opportunity to be searched and found without being forced to reveal information you would rather not share with the public.
Pronouns are an important aspect of getting to know a person and being able to talk about them. Social media platforms provide fields for pronouns, and more and more people are using pronouns in their digital signatures. We support the normalization of pronouns as a general reference. Please note that your pronoun will be displayed publicly. Make sure you only share information you are comfortable with. If you left the pronoun field blank, we encourage you to share your pronouns when connecting with others.
The more detailed the search masks and filter options are, the fewer hits are obtained. We have decided to combine certain groups under umbrella groups so that diverse talents can be found more easily.
You are free to choose your individual definition, but you reduce your chance to be searched and found. If you do not feel represented in the options we offer, please share your thoughts with us so we can explore ways to improve the recruitment experience for all.
Language is fluid. It is constantly changing. Therefore, the meaning of certain terms also changes. Ethnicity refers to the grouping of people in terms of their culture, language and nationality. All of these are social characteristics, while race refers to the phenotypic classification of
people. It refers to their physical characteristics and genes, such as skin color, etc. The term „ethnic identity“ is intended to create the possibility of identifying oneself to the group to which one feels culturally closest, as well as the possibility of describing oneself by one’s physical characteristics. If you do not feel represented in the options we offer, please share your thoughts with us so we can explore ways to improve the recruitment experience for all.
